VespaLure® was developed with a clear purpose: to create a highly effective lure that supports beekeepers, Asian Hornet Action Teams and local environment agencies through accurate, reliable monitoring of invasive hornets and problem wasps. From the outset, the focus was on solving real problems in real conditions, not just in theory. VespaLure® has been extensively tested in Jersey, where field trials showed it consistently outperformed competitor products by attracting more target insects with greater reliability. Crucially, it also contains a honey bee deterrent, helping ensure bees are not drawn into traps and keeping monitoring safe around hives and sensitive locations.
VespaLure® is non-toxic and eco-friendly, with no harmful chemicals or damaging residues, making it suitable for use in gardens, apiaries, orchards, and public spaces. Designed to integrate easily with existing trap systems, it requires no specialist handling and supports long-term monitoring without environmental risk.
