Apitura® Innovation is a UK-based company at the forefront of sustainable apiculture, ecological monitoring, and the responsible management of invasive species.  Founded by experienced beekeepers and environmental specialists, we combine hands-on field expertise with scientific insight to tackle some of the most urgent challenges facing pollinators today.

Our mission is simple but vital: to protect pollinators, support resilient ecosystems, and provide those on the frontline with practical, effective tools to manage the growing threat of invasive species, particularly the Yellow-legged Asian hornet (Vespa velutina).

At the heart of Apitura’s offering is a carefully developed suite of complementary innovations: the TRAP-X® hornet trap, the Bait Pod™ attractant delivery system, and the VespaLure® wasp and Asian hornet lure. Each product has been shaped through rigorous research and extensive real-world testing, including critical fieldwork in Jersey, one of the regions most affected by Asian hornet activity.

Designed to work seamlessly together, TRAP-X®, Bait Pod™, and VespaLure® provide a highly targeted and adaptable approach to hornet and wasp management.  VespaLure™ delivers a consistent, effective attractant, while the TRAP-X® and Bait Pod™ system ensures controlled, selective capture.  The result is a solution that is not only highly effective against Vespa velutina, but also carefully engineered to minimise impact on non-target species such as honeybees, butterflies, and hoverflies.
